Exercise & Injury Rehabilitation - Your Questions Answered

What is Exercise & Injury Rehabilitation?
Exercise & injury rehabilitation is a targeted, movement-led treatment approach designed to support recovery from musculoskeletal injuries. Your therapist will begin with a full assessment, including your medical history, physical tests, and movement screening, to better understand the root cause of your issue. Treatment may include manual therapy, dry needling, and joint mobilisation/manipulation, alongside a tailored exercise plan that mirrors your in-clinic treatment, helping you build strength, restore mobility, and speed up recovery between sessions.

Who provides exercise & injury rehabilitation at Nordic Balance Battersea?
Sessions are delivered by highly trained sports therapists who are educated to the level of physiotherapists.

Is it the same as physiotherapy?
For most musculoskeletal issues, yes. The key difference is post-surgical care, which must be handled by a registered physiotherapist. Otherwise, exercise rehab includes the same clinical depth and treatment quality.

Can I use my health insurance?
Unfortunatley no. Exercise rehab at Nordic Balance is not covered by most UK health insurers. Physiotherapy is your best option.

What does a typical session include?
A combination of hands-on techniques, movement coaching, strength work, sports massage, manual therapy and recovery strategies, all tailored to your injury and lifestyle.

Is exercise & injury rehab right for me?
If you're active and want to recover, prevent injury, or enhance performance, exercise rehab is a smart, cost-effective solution. It's especially effective for conditions like lower back pain, sports injuries, muscle imbalances, and mobility restrictions. We recommend that you contact us to discuss the right treatment path for you.

Faster Recovery with Active Techniques

Unlike passive treatments, our approach uses targeted exercise and hands-on therapy to accelerate healing and tissue repair. This helps reduce downtime and get you back to activity sooner.

Restored Mobility and Functional Movement

Our sports therapists focus on helping you to regain full range of motion and functional mobility so you can move freely and confidently, whether that’s on the field, in the gym, or during daily life.

Gain Strength and Prevent Further Injury

By rebuilding strength and addressing muscular imbalances or movement limitations, we reduce the risk of re-injury and help you return stronger than before and prevent further injury.

Enhance Performance

Even if you're not injured, this treatment can improve biomechanical efficiency, stability, and movement quality, making it ideal for athletes looking to gain a competitive edge.
